Learning at Work Week, which takes place in May every year, aims to cultivate a culture of learning in the workplace. Led by the Campaign for Learning this event encourages employers of all types and sizes to participate by organising activities that promote continuous learning and development among employees.
The great thing about Learning at Work Week is that it is open to everyone. Whether you are a multinational corporation, a small or medium-sized enterprise, a charity, or a government department, any type of organisation can take part in the events.
Learning at Work Week is free to register and access the online resources provided by the Campaign for Learning. These resources include planning guides and promotional materials to help you create a successful event at minimal cost. Additionally, the Campaign for Learning offers national activities and special freebies from sponsors and partners to enhance the experience.
While most organisations choose to run their events during the national dates, you have the flexibility to schedule it at a time that works best for your employees. The key is to tailor the week to fit your organisation’s needs and goals.
Participating in Learning at Work Week offers numerous benefits, such as changing attitudes towards learning and work, increasing employee engagement, informing business strategies, and recognising internal talent. The activities organised during the week can range from casual interest-led sessions to more formal business-focused workshops, providing a diverse range of learning opportunities for employees. Learning at Work Week also offers an ideal opportunity to promote apprenticeships as the ultimate opportunity for ‘Learning at Work’.
If you are interested in taking part in Learning at Work Week, you can sign up on the Campaign for Learning website to receive updates and resources. The 2024 theme for Learning at Work Week is “Learning power,” which can be interpreted in various ways to add value to your workplace.
As an apprenticeship provider, RHG wholeheartedly supports Learning at Work Week. Please visit our website to download our free resources and guides on the apprenticeships we offer and find out more about how completing an apprenticeship can foster a culture of continuous learning and development that benefits both individuals and organisations.
