“Helping colleagues connect with issues that matter both within and beyond the workplace.”
You have probably already seen, and possibly donated to, the Royal British Legion selling poppies for Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day. Nationally, this is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by service personnel but it also re-inforces the importance of unity, respect and community values, running through other themes chosen to highlight this month.
We have chosen to highlight Stress Awareness Week, encouraging open conversations about mental health and wellbeing in a busy and demanding world, alongside Movember, which shines a spotlight on men’s health, including mental wellbeing, physical health and early intervention. We also recognise Transgender Awareness Week and the International Day for Tolerance, reinforcing RHG’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and understanding, regardless of their background, identity or lived experience.
To strengthen the environmental aspect this month we also alight upon World Sustainable Transport Day aligning to RHG’s environmental responsibility by promoting awareness of greener travel choices and the collective actions that can help reduce our environmental impact. Together, these themes support the three pillars of our Diversity, Wellbeing and Environment Calendar, helping colleagues connect with issues that matter both within and beyond the workplace.
We’ve also created a fun bingo card for you to engage with for Stress Awarenss Week!
