July 2023
For the month of June, staff at RHG joined a challenge to run/walk the equivalent distance from our Head Office in Market Harborough to Rome; over 1,100 miles! Everyone submits their miles each week and Our Romp to Rome is this years charity fundraiser that culminates with everyone meeting up on the 5th July to complete the walk as a collective.
Our chosen charity for 2023 is CHUMS, a charity close to our hearts. CHUMS baby loss bereavement service supports bereaved families who have experienced the death of their baby through late miscarriage, compassionate termination, stillbirth and neonatal death. They have been a massive support to one of our RHG team and deserve our support.
The grand fundraising total far exceeded our £500 target, we can proudly announce a final total of £900.
Looking a little wider, July is a big month for summer sports; The Ashes in Cricket, Wimbledon for Tennis, Henley Royal Regatta for Rowing and the British Grand Prix in motor racing, to name but a few. But if you’re looking for something mighty uplifting, inspiring and more accessible, then look no further than the National Transplant Games in Coventry on 27-30 July. We’ll let you find out more for yourselves by following the link – https://www.britishtransplantgames.co.uk/
Some more dates of interest are shown below:
Our GROW Academy is proving really popular with learners, running short workshops to support the apprenticeship learning journey. In July there are four more workshops running, based around report writing techniques, brushing up on writing skills, as well as Maths refreshers and a new and really engaging workshop on how to be socially responsible.
