Diversity, Wellbeing & Environment Calendar

As a new B.Corp, RHG is very excited to be engaging with ‘B.Corp month’ for the first time, so please keep an eye on our socials during March.

Spring is finally arriving with lots of exciting initiatives and key dates, to both celebrate and consider. National Careers Week 03rd – 07th March follows hot on the heels of National Apprenticeship Week giving everyone the opportunity to reflect on their next steps. Please utilise the resources available to be inspired and informed about YOUR future. Click here for Learner Resources

Religious celebrations are also at the forefront in many communities.

The Islamic calendar is based on the lunar calendar, so the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan can move each year. This year, Ramadan is expected to begin on the evening of Friday 28th February or Saturday 1st March 2025, depending on the sighting of the moon.

The Christian celebration of Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, 5th March and ends 46 days later on Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday. The origin of pancake day (Shrove Tuesday) comes from the tradition of families using up the common ingredients of eggs, flour and milk in their cupboards so that they can start Lent the next day.

Finally, don’t forget that we move from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to British Summer Time (BST) on the 30th March, springing the clocks forward by one hour!

What else is happening during March?
