Diversity, Wellbeing & Environment Calendar

After the Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holidays, May brings two more long weekends to look forward to. The month is bookended by the May Day Bank Holiday on the 4th, followed by the Spring Bank Holiday on the 25th.

With longer, brighter days, May is an ideal time to focus on feeling good and doing good. Throughout the month, National Walking Month encouraging us to add a little more movement to our daily routines. Whether it’s walking part of your commute, heading out for a lunchtime stroll or getting some fresh air after work, those extra steps can make a real difference to both physical and mental wellbeing — and they’re better for the planet too.

We’ll also be marking Mental Health Awareness Week, which offers an opportunity to check in with ourselves, support others and make small changes that can have a big impact on how we feel. Later in the month, Learning at Work Week shines a spotlight on the value of continuous learning and development, encouraging us to build new skills, share knowledge and reflect on how learning helps us grow both individually and as an organisation. This includes the important role RHG apprenticeships play in developing talent, creating opportunities and supporting people to learn, earn and progress in meaningful careers.

Together, these moments reflect RHG’s commitment to wellbeing, inclusion and investing in people to support long‑term, positive progress.
