Flaming June is upon us and is traditionally packed with iconic sporting events such as Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, the first Test Match at Lord’s, Henley Regatta and much more besides.

But we will be focusing on areas such as Effective Communications Month, Professional Wellness Month and Learning Disabilities Week. All of which will be addressed in more detail as the month goes along, so do follow/like us on Social media to keep up to date with all of our content.

Although of course the big news for this month is Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Platinum Jubilee marks a reign of 70 years, a length of service no other British Monarch has previously reached. Whilst we look forward to celebrating this huge milestone over the extra-long bank holiday weekend, we thought we would share with you some interesting facts you may not know…

Already holding the status of the longest reigning British Monarch, June 2024 would be the milestone for Queen Elizabeth II to reach to become the longest reigning Monarch in history – right now, she is currently in 3^rd place.

The Queen is the only person in the UK who is allowed to drive without a driving license, and despite her being 96 years of age, she reportedly still drives to this day!

The officially verified Royal family Instagram page follows a variety of charities, as well as the nation’s beloved David Attenborough (who interestingly, doesn’t even follow them back).

Elizabeth II’s four tier Wedding cake was an impressive height of 9 feet, making it large enough for 2000 guests to all have a slice! In 2015, a piece of this cake was auctioned for £500 and despite the slice being 68 years old, it was supposedly still edible due to the high alcohol content.
